Exciting news! 📣

We are happy to announce that the TBSO has been awarded a Touring and Circulation Projects grant from the ! 🚌

This support means the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra will be heading west in spring 2027 to Sioux Lookout, Dryden, Pelican Falls, Kenora and Red Lake.

Bringing live orchestral music to audiences across northwestern Ontario wouldn’t be possible without public funding for the arts. We are grateful for this opportunity to connect with more communities throughout our region.

Our most sincere thanks to the OAC and our local MPP Kevin Holland for their support in making our regional tour possible!

📣 The TBSO is entering the final year of its Artistic Director search!

As we welcome this year’s finalists to Thunder Bay, we’re inviting you to get to know them, experience their musical leadership, and share your feedback after each performance.

This is about more than choosing a conductor. It’s an opportunity for our audience and supporters to have a say in the future direction of the TBSO.

Follow along this season to learn more about the finalists who will be taking the podium.
