Magnus Theatre in Education

Theatre in Education (TIE) at Magnus has been in operation for over 50 years.

The Theatre in Education (TIE) Program is the premiere theatre training facility in the Thunder Bay area. Our classes and masterclasses are taught by professional actors, directors and educators. Our classes give actors a chance to develop their self-expression, skill, and creativity while building self-confidence. Students of all ages are welcome to join the classes while learning different drama tactics.

🎭 YOUNG COMPANY 26/27 — OVER 50% SOLD!

Spaces are already filling up fast for Magnus Theatre’s Young Company, and more than 50% of available spaces have now been sold! If you’ve been thinking about joining, now is the time to register.

Young Company gives young theatre artists ages 13–18 the opportunity to train in a professional theatre environment, work with experienced theatre professionals, and experience the full life cycle of a stage production — from auditioning and rehearsing to performing on the Magnus Theatre stage.

And this year, participants will take on TWO full-length productions:

👹 A MONSTER CALLS — Studio, Spring 2027
