I titled this piece "Sound and Vision". I made it for a friend in 2023 and I got the name from a Franz Ferdinand song I really liked when I was a teen.
I used an image of Saint Lucia with her eyes on a plate and a knife on her neck.

My new piece, Floral Motif #1 is being shown at the 36 Annual Juried Show at Definitely Superior Art gallery. This show will be running from November 8th to January 11th.
This year's theme is interconnecdness so I decided to focus in the intricate connections of living tissue as well in so many fiber techniques like lace making and ñanduti that served as inspiration for the construction of this piece.

The Drolatic Dreams of Pantagruel (Les songes drolatiques de Pantagruel 1565) is a compilation of 120 woodcut images produced during France’s late Renaissance period. The meaning of these images is not explained in the original editions but now these grotesque caricatures are understood as mockery of French royalty, the Vatican and other influential figures of the time.
I have been using some of these images for my screen printed T-shirts.

I haven't made a post in a while, but I have been working on a ton of projects.

Here is a backpack featuring reclaimed burlap from coffee bags. Featuring vibrant print of a Red Eyed Tree Frog from Costa Rica.
