Some of our Highland dancers had the pleasure of dancing at the Carstairs Heritage Festival & Parade of Kilts last weekend. It was a great family event and we even got to participate in some Cèilidh Scottish group dances.

Our Ballet and Highland dancers have been back in the studio after a short break preparing for their upcoming Exam session. The first week of June will see 47 dancers complete RAD and SDTA standardized exams at various levels. These Exams keep our dancers focused on new challenges each year and are achievable goals for them to work towards and reach. Keep it up dancers!

Over 150 dancers took the stage for our Seasons Dance Recital! Our team worked hard behind the scenes to bring 3 performances to the stage to over 700 audience members. From entertaining dances to heartfelt ones, the dancers showcased their year of hard work and growth in Ballet, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Highland, Tap and Hip Hop. More than 15 dancers received 5 year awards, and 3 received a 10 year award!
Thank you for continuing to support the arts and performance opportunities for the young people of Kneehill County 🩰🎭

Festival recap 🤩
We attended 4 festivals in March and April and our dancers shone on stage! We love watching their growth, overcoming nerves, team building and sharing a range of dances. From fun and character-driven Tap & Musical Theatre, to graceful Ballet, to meaningful Lyrical & Contemporary pieces, congratulations to all our dancers and teachers on all your hard work put into these dances.
A few highlights to share were:
- cousins, sisters & friends dancing together and making lifetime memories
- our Junior teachers taking their Lyrical Group to Danceworks
- first time festival participation with nerves turned into hardwork, smiles and clean dances
- Top 10 finishes for multiple dances at Danceworks, along with Shoutouts for Ballet soloists, Showstopper & 4th place for Maia K, 3rd place for both Milo S and Found (Cai, Abi & Hannah)
- Choreography awards for Intermediate & Sr Lyrical
- Most promising awards for our Hip Hop and Soloist Jenni D
