Did you know Canada has the most ice rinks and arenas in the world? 🌎 With over 7,860 rinks nationwide, our winter sports heritage runs deep! 🏒🥅

The Arctic Spas Rec Complex is proud to be part of this monstrous feat of frozen architecture 😎—and we want our community's youth to enjoy every bit of it!

Our Learn to Skate program is tailored specifically for those little shufflers and gliders who are ready to get moving on the ice!

Registration is now open for two age groups:

Do your kids clean up their toys, keep their rooms spotless, and organize their LEGO? Lol, yeah right... mine neither! Searching for that one perfect brick in our mountain of LEGO is like trying to find the promised land 🙄

Next week, we’re putting an end to the perpetual brick-hunt with our LEGO ClubThanksgiving special: Turkey Hunt! 🦃

Leave your guns at home son—all you need for this hunt is a good buddy, a rapier wit, and an imagination for creation. ✨ Come out and help us bag some bricks!

🧱✨MORE THAN JUST BRICKS! LEGO CLUB STARTS OCT. 5!✨🧱

Calling all master builders, creators, and fun-seekers! It is time to step away from the screens and dive into a massive pile of bricks. 🚀

Did you know the Thorsby LEGO Club is SO much more than just snapping bricks together? Join us at Arctic Spas Recreation Complex for the ultimate after-school hangout! Not only do we tackle epic LEGO building challenges and wild theme days, but we also mix things up with awesome group games and interactive activities! It is an hour packed with creating, playing, and making new friends. 🏃‍♂️💨

📅 When: (STARTING OCT. 5th) Every Monday from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM (We follow the Black Gold School Division calendar—if school is out, the club takes a break too!)
📍 Where: Arctic Spas Recreation Complex Lobby
💰 Cost: Totally FREE!
📝 Registration: Zero! Just drop in whenever you want to play.

Is anyone else struggling to get their kids off screens lately? 😫 I’ve officially turned into my mother: "You know, when I was a kid, we actually went outside and played..." Cue the crickets from my audience.

Since the old-school lecture isn't working, let's try something new: the Rec Complex's Arctic Action after-school program! 🏃‍♀️For 6 weeks, your kids can head down to the Rec Complex for fun, staff-led games and activities. Complete with fuel-up snacks, it’s the perfect way for them to burn off energy, socialize with friends, and enjoy organized activities. Take that, screen time! 👊

The Details:
- Ages: 7–12 years old
- Cost: $25 for the full 6-week program
- Registration is required

Let's give them something active and engaging to do after school. Either that or they could wash my truck Lol (just kidding if it gets washed a fender will probably fall off).

Have you procreated? 👶 Are your off-spring young, full of energy and jump on everything including your couch, bed, and possibly their siblings🏃‍♂️‍➡️? Behold the solution to your spring-boned snag....the bouncy castle! 🏰

The Rec Complex has one used bouncy castle for sale, $100. Suitable for children aged 0-6yrs old. Complete with blower and power cord: simply plug-in to inflate. This bouncy castle is industrial heavy weight, no leaks or rips, but it does have a bubble in the center of the jumping surface.

Back into the swing of things, and the school germs are right there with us! 🦠 Honestly, back-to-school illness should be on the calendar like daylight savings—it happens every year, and we all wish we could skip it.

Heads up for tonight (Thursday, September 3rd): The Rec Complex will be closing early today at 5:00 PM.
