Need some fill sand? We've got a pile with your name on it! 😄

The Town of Thorsby has a large quantity of fill sand available at no cost to local businesses, organizations, and community members.

The material is approximately 95% sand with a small amount of particulate/clay mixed in, making it suitable for a variety of landscaping, grading, and fill applications.

The sand is currently stockpiled in the south parking lot of the Arctic Spas Recreation Complex and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Arctic Spas Rec Complex is celebrating Senior Appreciation Month and Parks and Recreation Month with our exciting prize draws! 🎁

We are giving away four amazing prize packages to celebrate these special community milestones. 🎉 Each lucky winner will receive a one-month membership to the Arctic Spas Recreation Complex alongside a $25 gift card (Ranchland Meats & Kollbrook).

Come into the Rec Complex and fill out a entry slip to be entered to win. The Seniors Appreciation draw is open to everyone 55yr+, and the Parks & Recreation draw is open to everyone 14yr+. Winners will be drawn on June 25th.

What a weekend in Thorsby! ❄️🎉

Cold temperatures definitely did not stop our community from showing up for Saturday’s Family Fun Day at the Arctic Spas Recreation Complex. The facility and grounds were absolutely packed all afternoon with bouncy houses, the petting zoo, Top Shot hockey, glitter tattoos, toddler play zone, roving magician, community BBQ, slo-pitch tournament, beer gardens, and so much more.

On top of all of that, we also hosted our Amazon return giveaway sale with thousands of items finding new homes back into the community. The lineup, excitement, and community spirit all weekend long were incredible to see!

A massive THANK YOU goes out to our amazing Recreation Team for the many hours of planning, organizing, setup, troubleshooting, and cleanup that made this event possible:
Sam, Sofia, Jenna, Jody, Alexa, Lorelei, Muriel, and Brynn. 👏

Special recognition to Sam for leading the organization of this year’s event and doing an outstanding job coordinating all of the moving pieces involved.

Huge thanks as well to Thorsby Communities in Bloom Society for running the beer gardens throughout the weekend, the Thorsby Grads for hosting the BBQ fundraiser, Brandon Powlik for organizing another fantastic slo-pitch tournament, and CL DJ Services for keeping the music going and providing glitter tattoos for the kids.

We are lucky to live in a community that continues to show up, volunteer, support one another, and make events like this so special.
