Toronto International Ballet Theatre is holding open auditions for The Nutcracker — and they're happening right here at Stepanova Ballet Academy in Thornhill.

📅Sunday, June 21, 2026
📋Two sessions:
→ Ages 8–15: 10:00 AM – 11:15 AM
→ Ages 16–Professional: 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM

Selected dancers receive a contract with a professional company. International and video auditions accepted. Pre-registration recommended — walk-ins welcome.

Audition fee: $30 on location (waived for professional dancers).

❤️When the curtain closed on our annual Nutcracker performance, it didn’t feel like an ending - it felt like a reminder of why we do this.

To everyone who came to watch, cheer, and support our dancers: thank you. You didn’t just fill the theatre. You gave our performers the kind of audience every dancer dreams of - warm, present, and generous with applause.

This production is always special to us because it brings a diverse group of amazing dancers together on one stage. That mix is what makes our Nutcracker a true celebration of ballet: welcoming, inspiring, and real.

And to our teachers and backstage team: your work is felt in every polished moment—thank you for shaping confidence, discipline, and joy.
