Still thinking about KidsFest 💛

Even with a rainy start, this community showed up with smiles, energy, and plenty of kid joy.

This beautiful professional highlight video captures the spirit of the day so well. What a wonderful day in Clarksburg.

Already looking forward to next year. 🎈

🇨🇦 Canada Day starts in Clarksburg.

One of our favourite shared traditions returns July 1 as the beloved Canada Day parade rolls from Clarksburg to Thornbury, with floats, bikes, vintage cars, waving flags, and cheering spectators lining the route. ❤️

Before the 11 a.m. parade heads out, spend the morning in the village with pancake breakfast, face painting, live music, the Sheffield Park Black History Museum exhibit at the Marsh, and yes, there will be cake. 🇨🇦

After the parade, the celebration continues in Clarksburg with music on the Marsh Street Centre patio, plus bingo, BBQ, and community fun.

A heartfelt shoutout to Linda at Riverside Press, the quiet force behind this tradition. ❤️

Come wave a flag, cheer from the sidelines, and celebrate Canada Day with us.

If your perfect Saturday includes cider, sheep, and a fish fry… you’re in luck.

This weekend brings three uniquely fun ways to spend the day around Clarksburg and, frankly, a lineup that could only happen here.

🍎 Blue Mountains Cider Festival
12–5 PM at Spy Cider House & Distillery
Tickets/info: Spy Cider House and Distillery
A marquee event for cider lovers, with 17 cideries pouring, live music, food vendors, and local favourites including Clarksburg’s own Grey & Gold Cider

🐑 Icelandic Farm Fest
11 AM–4 PM at Kimber Valley Farms
Tickets/info: Kimber Valley Farms
Icelandic sheep, horses, traditional treats, hands-on activities, and even a visit from Iceland’s ambassador to Canada. We’re also especially glad to begin highlighting newer associate members like Kimber Valley Farms and the unique experiences they bring to our area.

🐟 St. George’s Famous Garden Party Fish Fry
4:30–7 PM at St. George’s Anglican Church in Clarksburg
Tickets/info: parishofthebluemountains.ca
Fish, homemade salads, local pies… and yes, even a cash bar operated by the Beaver Valley Legion.

All three events are ticketed. Advance tickets are available online (and recommended), with gate tickets available for Cider Fest and Icelandic Farm Fest.

So… which are you choosing? Or why choose just one?
