One of the first artists to come to Studio 79 & a studio favorite of many. Steve Marriner Music off his latest JUNO win for Best Blues Album 2026. ✨ Steve continues to somehow raise the bar at every performance.

And then his powerhouse band, Local Electric🔥 …Peter Hendrickson hypnotic on the drums & Jesse O'Brien, a show all in itself. Always a pleasure to have studio first timers like _chrisbrzezicki_

Harry Manx brought his distinct, exotic east, Indian ragas meets traditional west, slide guitar blues sounds for his album release tour, Falling Upwards, to the studio last night for our first, sold out Fall show. ✨

One of Harry’s favorite collaborators, Australian Clayton Doley on keyboard, accompanying Harry Manx, moving as one.

A banjo, cigar box & his signature, 20 string Mohan Veena instrument.

I am overjoyed to host this merry bunch for our special, annual holiday show! The Dec show always wraps up a fantastic year of live music. Come celebrate with A Skydiggers Christmas ✨

For over 25 years, Skydiggers’ friends and fans have gathered during the holidays to celebrate the season to the soundtrack of the band’s distinctive rootsy Christmas tunes and Skydiggers’ classics. What started at Toronto’s Legendary Horseshoe Tavern grew into an annual tradition at the Danforth Music Hall and has since taken the holiday show on the road. “We’ve realized that the most moving moments of the season are more than just expressions of glad tidings and comfort and joy,” says Skydigger Andy Maize. “That there are moments of melancholy, regret and truth that are, in their own way, as much a part of the Christmas experience as any joyous carol. We want to put on a show that both celebrates the season while leaving room for quieter, more personal moments.”

We had magic Under the Barnlights last night with the one and only Tom Wilson & His Band of Gold ✨ The 2nd of a 4 concert barn series presented by Studio 79.

I revised the series name ever so slightly as who knows what the weather will bring on Oct 1. Should still be gorgeous.

Like a pop-up & a similar concept to my past shows at the John Saunders Centre. Still intimate, but on a slightly larger scale. 4 concerts, once a month from June - Oct. (July session moved to October)

A lot of audience love for these two last night. ✨ Youngtree & Carole Bee treating us to their captivating lyrics & harmonies, & Peter’s voice… a pot of goulasche soup comes to mind!? Hearty & tender, slow-cooked… their music is pure comfort. And a lot of fun.
