Terrace Bowling Lanes

Ok Terrace bowlers I know we no longer have our own lanes but are still wanting to bowl. So a few of us have found a way to keep up on our sport. We are going to go to Smithers and bowl 6 games every second Sunday. We will be starting at 11am. Hopefully that will have us done by 1pm when their public starts. Same as usual you can put roll offs in or spares. We will also judge by the weather. If the roads are too bad we will stay home that week. Salina is being very flexible with us. If anyone is interested please pm me so I can build the league in advance. Thank you.

Well I have never been so disappointed in Terrace people. I have lived my whole life in Terrace, 58 years, and have always been proud of our little city. But today I am angry, sad and deeply disappointed. In the last 3-4 months the bowling alley has been broken into 3 times resulting in a broken door, one large front window and two broken windows in our front door. But we fixed things up and kept going. Then someone burnt down our lanes. So we were looking into moving and starting again. The same night two young teenagers break into the fenced ruins and try to steal the alcohol in the rubble. So we take all the alcohol and pop out to deter anyone. Next we notice the chips are missing off the rack in the rubble. Today we went in to see if we can salvage my crafts and the duck claw machines that we were so proud to bring in to entertain both kids and adults only to find that half my crafts and the claw machines have been stolen as well. This may be the straw that broke the camels back. Terrace I am so disappointed and disheartened by the violence that has been shown to us the last few months. 😢😡😢

It is with a very heavy heart that I write this post. At 4:30 am this morning a fire broke out at Terrace Bowling Centre. The firemen gave it everything they had but the building could not be saved. If any of our league bowlers had balls and shoes in the lockers we were able to salvage them and I have them at my house for pick up. Other than that everything else was a loss. Thank you so very much for the first responders and the community of friends that we had to help us out today.

Anyone know this guy? He was accompanied by a young girl the first time. He has broken into the Terrace bowling alley twice in 8 days!!! If you have any info please call the RCMP. Edit update… He has been caught!!!! Hubby and son saw him walking by the lanes and called RCMP.
