a CARving.

when the one carving i was least exited about creating - turns into the one that i am most exited about looking at.

(sorry for all owners of some cool stuff i created before, but)
i think this is the by far coolest creation i was able to pull off until today. LOL

thanks to my friend MIKE WINIA i spend a good portion of my summer in Ontario, creating this 90% life size cadillac for the town of BLENHEIM in the beautiful district of chetham-kent.

Mike managed to find us a huge white oak log and supplied all tools necessary (from a big sawmill, chainsaws and down to detail dremel tools) so i could build this interactive piece of ART that finally had its unveiling yesterday!

it sure makes a guy happy - knowing that from now on there’s going to be tons of people having fun - taking selfie’s in this slick one of a kind ride publicly displayed right in blenheim.

i feel incredible honoured to be able to work with mike - who’s a master carver himself - and watch him bring his ideas to life faster than a tornado occurs.
i’m forever grateful for Mike’s idea to bring a life size oldtimer on the chatham-kent carving tour and make it “the cadillac of all carved cars” - and then calling in the “right guy” for this massive undertaking.

i did not want to at first… now i’d love to do another one.

finally a nice looking fire wood storage for my SAUNA.
all weather proof, but still allowing for plenty of air flow - i‘m looking forward to many many sweat sessions. LOL
its sure nice to own a sawmill and custom cutting whatever i need myself.
the tapered lap siding made from red cedar should last for a long time to come.
if someone‘s interested in a custom build wood storage just like it, let me know and we might be able to work on it for you…

there’s Music in the air…
currently working in Ontario, i was honoured to be asked to create a „piano theme based“ throne for the city of Tilbury.
here‘s what i came up with.
Hand carved from white oak and some accent pieces in different species - it makes me real happy to know that from now on - for decades to come - there will be many many people taking a photo on this one of a kind and enjoying the public installation.
these creations i am working on are some of the biggest challenges in my career so far and i appreciate being asked to help creating them together with my friend Mike Winia here in the beautiful county of chatham kent ontario.

from now on out at findlay lake for everyone to enjoy - there‘s a custom made towel and clothing hanger bench.
going to put it in place today was my first time ever visiting the lake and i really enjoyed taking a swim in honour of Geoff Phillips who‘s wish it was to have this bench up there.

My first greenhouse in haida gwaii 🙂 and the first one that went as a do it yourself kit…
my client even got the wood for the raised beds milled himself.
with the arches doors and windows all made from yellow cedar, this build will last for decades and will be capable of supplying many many people with home grown food.
cant wait to get pictures of the finished greenhouse one day!

8’6” wide, 10’ long on 20” tall raised beds which are 2’6” wide inside.
one double door and one big vent window.

our AGRICULTURAL FAIRGROUNDS in Thornhill just got 12 Animals more beautiful.
right at the entrance to the area, these new signs feature a “slide in” frame where advertizement for future events can be added to make people aware of upcoming events.
