I heard that today is Blue Monday - supposedly the most depressing day of the year. Having journeyed through my own personal battle with darkness, I want to offer you all a ray of hope today. You matter. You are not defined by the things you own or your social status. Put on some music you love today and escape into whatever world it opens up to you. 🤍🤍🤍

Friends of Shake The Lake, we are grateful for the good times that we have had, together!

They call today "Blue Monday" in Canada, because of the post-holiday wane, and being in the middle of winter. But let us tell you... when we think about all of the great times we have had over the years, the FREE family-friendly festivals, the all-ages live music, the BMX and Skateboarding competition, the awesome kids zones, and all our friends... WE GET STOKED! We can't be blue!

So hey, if you are blue today, please think about the great times we've had. It keeps our hears warm, and we hope it keeps your heart warm too.

Hello everyone,
Due to circumstances beyond our control, Shake The Lake will not be rocking Sylvan Lake in 2018. It’s sad news for us, and we know it is sad news for many of our fans, too. We have had a blast producing this All Ages Action Sports and Music Festival since 2008, with a family friendly atmosphere and free admission for all spectators.

It’s been great making memories with you! Shake The Lake has shaped our lives in a positive way for the last decade and we hope we helped shape yours in a positive way, too.

We are so deeply grateful for the sponsors, partners, and volunteers who have made Shake The Lake possible for so many years. We are thankful for the difference and the impact we made together, and we cherish the relationships that we’ve built along the way. Thank you so, so much. We did all this together!

Thank you to our amazing team of volunteers, past and present, who have given everything they have and more to make this festival possible. The planning meetings, the late nights and early mornings, the fundraising, the forms, thousands and thousands of volunteer hours, the stress, the love, the awesome memories, and the family we became in the process.

Shake The Lake started with a dream to do something cool in our community, to bless the people with a great time with music, action sports, and family activities; to make great memories and to do it all for free and with no strings attached. We are satisfied that through blood, sweat, and tears, we were able to do that. If you loved Shake The Lake, we ask that you’d pay it forward; build community, help make something good happen for others.

We encourage you, if you have a dream to do something cool for other people, go for it! You’d surprised what you can accomplish. Don’t be afraid to start small; you never know where you’ll end up.

Thank you to all of our supporters along the way. Thank you to our families for all your hard work and for giving up years and years of summers. Thank you to our friends who helped so much. Thank you to the Town of Sylvan Lake for their support, and thank -you. Thank you for having a great time with us for the last decade.

Thank you for all of your messages and inquiries about Shake The Lake!

Our team of volunteers has been working hard to prepare the way for Shake The Lake 2018, which will mark the 10th anniversary of our All-Ages Action Sports and Music Festival. We’re stoked! Since 2008 a group of dedicated volunteers has been working to produce our family friendly, free admission festival in Sylvan Lake. Shake The Lake features action sports like Skateboarding and BMX competitions; makes a special place for family and youth spectators with things like bouncers, mini golf, and games; highlights great Canadian music from across the country on our main stage; and most recently welcomed live art competitions which has been a great addition to the atmosphere.

In planning for the 2018 festival we are on the search for sponsors, partners, and volunteers to make it all possible. We’d love to connect with you! Like we’ve been doing for the last decade, we plan to produce another great festival in Sylvan Lake in 2018 with 100% family-friendly high caliber entertainment, free admission to all spectators, and great memories that last; all made possible by our experienced volunteer team, generous sponsors, and our awesome community.

Have you heard The Wisers? They played last year's festival and we had so much fun! Who is your favorite Band we have had at Shake the Lake?
