Dance Artistry is located in the heart of downtown Sydney and boasts two stunning studios with professional marley flooring, high ceilings, 8 foot tall mirrors, surround sound, LED and stage lighting, ballet barres, gymnastic mats, and a wide range of props for stretching and strengthening our dancers. Our qualified instructors are committed to providing high level training to dancers of all levels of experience from age 18m to Adult.

Dance styles: ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, acrobatics, flexibility, modern, pointe, and musical theatre.

All classes are under the direction of Lucy MacIsaac - CDTA (Ballet Licentiate/Acro Associate), Acrobatic Arts, Alixa Flexability, PAA (Professional Adjudicators Alliance) with 25 years teaching experience.

THE POWER OF DANCE SCHOLARSHIP $2000
Recipient - Maddie Russell

This scholarship was created to honour the memory of Logan Russell, a talented dancer and choreographer who tragically lost her life this year. Logan was the sister of Krissy and Laurie Russell, two of our dance moms, and a beloved aunt of our students, Alexandria, Macie, and Maddie.

This scholarship will be given annually to a senior level dancer and may be used for dance training, professional development, or post secondary education. Our goal is to help our dancers stay on the right path, pursue their goals, and build their futures.

We want to thank Jeff, Paige, and Lyla Briand, from Island Movers & Storage Ltd & Lyla's Mobile Signs, for partnering with us on this scholarship and donating a generous $1000! We can’t thank you enough!

This year, we felt that the perfect person to receive this scholarship was Logan’s niece, Maddie Russell.

Each year our dancers participate in ballet exams through Canadian Dance Teachers Association. To encourage and celebrate our students success, we award top mark trophies for each grade as well as a FULL SCHOLARSHIP to our overall top mark. This includes summer classes, a solo, and all 2026-27 full term classes.

You don’t want to miss the 4th annual DANCE ARTISTRY RECITAL!!! Show day is Saturday, June 6, at the beautiful Savoy Theatre, Glacé Bay.

We have 2 amazing shows featuring our incredible dancers of all ages!

1:00pm CHILDREN’S SHOW
Celebrate our future stars! This recital will feature our Intro to Dance, Sparklers, Recreational classes, and select routines from our competitive levels!

6:00pm COMPETITIVE SHOW
This recital will showcase our DAC Competitive Team from our Minis to Advanced levels.

Both recitals will feature on stage awards presentations, photo ops for your dancers big day, and some incredible local talent. We encourage all dance lovers to come and enjoy our shows!

Admission $10/person

WOW - what a way to end our competitive season!!

Limelight was incredible! We brought home 17 Gold (90-92.99), 57 High gold (93-95.99), and 5 Ex gold (96+) medals, had 7 routines selected for the Vault Finals, and ended up taking home 3rd place for “Held”, Most Entertaining for “Wicked,” Most Promising Novice/Pre-Comp Dancer - Aria Flemington, and a full Nationals Convention Scholarship for Ayslynn Bernard.
