Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming a group from the Regional Municipality of York’s Adult Day Program to the Art Gallery of Georgina! 🎨💛

Our Curator & Collection Manager, Claire, guided the group through our current exhibition, sharing stories and insights about the artwork along the way.

We loved having everyone in the Gallery and sharing an afternoon of art, conversation, and connection. Thank you for visiting us! 🖼️✨

🎨 Meet our September Artist-in-Residence, Kate Greenway!

Please join us in welcoming Kate Greenway to the Art Gallery of Georgina as our Artist-in-Residence for September!

Kate works across watercolour, mixed media collage, and glass, often drawing inspiration from flora, fauna, and landscapes. Her love of light, colour, and the natural world shines throughout her work. 🌿

Kate holds both a Master’s and Ph.D. in practice-led Arts Research and Education and has exhibited her work widely across Ontario, as well as in several provinces and U.S. states.

When she isn’t creating, you can usually find Kate cooking, tending to the gardens in her rural backyard, or snuggling with her beagles!💛

Throughout September, stop by the Gallery to see Kate at work, learn more about her creative process, and explore her practice!
