๐ฌ A Message from Sussex Drive-In ๐ฌ
Last night was our busiest night of the season so far, with more than 100 carloads of guests joining us for a great evening at the movies.
We want to take a moment to recognize and thank our canteen team. Many of the young people working behind the counter are local Sussex-area students between the ages of 15 and 17, and for every one of them, this is their very first job. They all go to Sussex Regional High School Or Sussex Christian School.
Like many first jobs, there is a learning curve. They are learning customer service, teamwork, handling pressure, food safety, cash handling, and what it means to show up and work hard. We are incredibly proud of them.
Were there long waits last night? Absolutely. We know some guests waited longer than they would have liked, and we appreciate everyone's patience as our team worked through an unprecedented rush of orders.
What we ask from our customers is simple: please treat our staff with kindness and respect. These young people are doing their best, working hard, and gaining valuable life experience. A little patience and encouragement go a long way.
Sussex has always been a community that supports its youth, and we are proud to provide local students with an opportunity to gain their first work experience right here at the Sussex Drive-In.
Thank you to our staff, our guests, and everyone who continues to support local youth and local business.
