My name is Iman Al-Sallal and I live in Vancouver, Canada. Ever since I was a young girl, drawing and fairy tales were close to my heart. Inspired by my father, I decided to pursue studies in architecture, and became passionate about green building and community work. For many years, I grew distant and fearful of drawing, but after taking a course in children’s books’ illustration, my love for art

was rekindled and a whole new world of endless imagination and creativity opened up for me. It’s now become an integral part of my life, and a wonderful form of mind and soul rejuvenation. My inspiration comes from nature and classic storybooks, fairy tales and cartoons, such as Madeline, Alice in Wonderland and Pinocchio. I’d be more than happy to collaborate on creative projects with you, so please do get in touch! In the meantime, I hope my artwork brings you the same amount of happiness and cheer as it did with me while working on it.
