Great news about new federal funding and opportunity for the Semiahmoo Fish & Game Club and Little Campbell Hatchery.

Just in time to celebrate at 4th Annual Salmon Sessions Music Festival.

A strong step forward for B.C.’s fish and seafood sector.

Today’s renewed B.C. Fisheries Fund represents a joint $106.5-million investment from Canada and British Columbia over five years to help the sector grow, innovate and adapt to changing markets and environmental conditions.

The fund will support new technology and equipment, modern infrastructure, scientific partnerships and salmon habitat restoration, while putting a stronger focus on helping harvesters and processors reach new markets at home and around the world.

This is an important investment in the future of B.C.’s fisheries, the coastal communities and jobs they support, and the healthy ecosystems that sustain them.
