Dear Somali Youth,
I begin by thanking the Almighty God for the gift of life today...
Its my urge as a Somalis partriot to brief you of some issues concerning our helpless youths... It is said that the youth are leaders of tomorrow... How many times have we heard this cheap slogan aimed at frustrating our efforts to rule today and be counted?
And just for that matter, even if it is granted and we be given the mantle, do you think we can?
First of all most youths are bankrupt, unemployed and potentially too much addicted with Miraa and others drugs as opinion polls indicate. How shall a bankrupt youth rule? Our courts shall see to that fact...
They say experience is the best teacher. Now what are our experiences? Loitering in the streets inform of tarmacking/hustling or sitting in a Maqaayad drinking tea as we discuss the current affairs? Our elders will use that against us!
Another thing, concerning idlers. They, idlers, are always branded looters, robbers and terrorists... Are we safe on this trend of reference?
What shall we do to get recognised?
A number of Somalis youths have brushed shoulders with authorities seeking licences to showcase their innovativeness and innvetions... How can unemployed youth own a licence to pilot a plane he has made out of thick and thin? When his plans are blown out before they mature, do you think he will trust the authorities...
It's so degrading. Our Voiceless Somali youths are targetted, mistreated and exploited! Its a pity on how the young and energetic are treated...
Having said it only a half of our tribulations, its now how we solve our problems that matters... The solution is you and I forming organizations that will transform our lives. Lets form economic propelled groups that will help us earn income, keep us occupied and that which will help us overcome these curse of elders leadership which have propelled as further in to hatred and destruction.
