Need a great place for your child after school?

The College of Piping After School Program is a new option for Summerside families looking for a safe, welcoming and active place for children to spend their afternoons.

After a full day in the classroom, kids need a chance to unwind. Our program gives them time to move, play, create, socialize and have fun in a supervised, positive environment. Afternoons can include outdoor play, physical activities, games, crafts, STEM activities, group challenges and plenty of choice time.

We also provide an after-school snack, with options such as yogurt, fruit, granola bars and applesauce.

The program is built around safety, inclusion and active supervision, with clear attendance and sign-out procedures so parents can feel confident about where their children are and who they’re going home with. This is an after-school care program, not an extension of our piping, drumming or dance classes. The focus is on giving children a fun, positive and supervised place to spend the time between the end of the school day and pickup.

Registration is now open for September.

Spaces are available now — register today:

It’s only been four days since our Highland Games season ended but we are still clinging on to all the magic! Eithne Brydon, a College Highland dancer, kicked up her heels in the entertainment tent at the New Brunswick Highland Games a few weeks ago. Not only is she a talented Highland dancer but she is also a talented step dancer! A double threat on the dance floor 🎶🩰

What a weekend at the Glengarry Highland Games in Maxville, Ontario! Home of the North American Pipe Band Championships. Our pipe bands had a fabulous weekend. Our Grade 5 band came third overall in their grade and our Grade Three band came second overall in their grade. Our Grade Three drum corps came first overall (for the second year in a row) and our Grade Three mid section won the best bass and tenor prize in the medley competition. Our Grade Three band also won the medley competition. Our soloists were busy too with Ryan Simpson earning a 4th place in his jig and Piobaireachd and a 5th in his March in Grade 2 piping. Callum MacLaine was 6th in his Piobaireachd and 5th in his March in Grade 3 piping. James MacHattie was 5th in the MSR and 3rd in his March in professional piping. Grade three band member Bill Saul (student of Bruce Gandy) was 3rd in the 6/8 March and 6th in the Piobaireachd in Grade 1 piping. Luke Somers came 5th in the Grade 3 MSR for drumming. Well done, everyone!!!
