It was a wet Moncton Highland Games weekend but that didn’t dampen our spirits! While the Highland dancing moved indoors, the piping, drumming and pipe bands stayed at the games field. A huge thank you to the games organizers and volunteers as this couldn’t have been an easy day to navigate. 🩰🎶🌧️☔️

That’s a wrap on the 2025/2026 lesson season! We had a double recital day yesterday with Piping, Drumming, Highland dance, Step dance, Irish dance and our pipe bands featured in the first recital and then Samantha Lasher’s Dynamic Dance program, featured in the second. We also said good bye to Samantha Lasher as she begins her new solo journey with her Dynamic Dance Centre. Never fear, Samantha will still be teaching out of the College facility but under her own school.

It was fun to watch the talent on stage yesterday and watching the thrill of performing on the faces on those up there. Thank you to everyone who came and supported the performer in your life and to those who supported our pipe band’s silent auction. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

Congratulations to our award winners:

The Munro Family Award: Jaelyn Barlow-Gaudet
The Marion Riehl Award: Layton Stavert
The Ernest Shaw Memorial Award: Jackson Grady

Step Dance Student of the Year: Annie Zdrill
Highland Dance Student of the Year: Emily Austin

Piping Student of the Year: Callum MacLaine
College of Piping Overall Student of the Year: Luke Somers

✨ BRAND NEW SHOW ✨

The spectacle returns this July and August! Highland Storm: The Elements is a completely reimagined version of the College of Piping’s signature stage production. Featuring the instructors and students of the College along with professional musicians, this year’s show explores the themes of air, water, earth and fire to depict how our island, our people and our way of life have been shaped by these elements. With ties to our Celtic ancestors across the Atlantic, Highland and step dancers along with pipes, drums, fiddle and more create a stunning visual and musical experience in this latest version of Highland Storm.

This is an all-Islander production, including visual and literary artists: Emily Howard's exquisite paintings illuminate the stage with Isaac Williams' digital mastery, the script is written and narrated by Jacob Hemphill.

Tickets are $40.00 and are available through our box office either in person or by calling 902 436 5377 or online at https://tproatlantic.ticketpro.ca/en/pages/1686265627?aff=cpac
