Oh what luscious colours in our new stock! Noro Silk Garden, a blend of silk, mohair, and wool, is eye-candy! We have patterns too! Let us know what special project you'd make with Noro Silk Garden! I'm sure this will not last long on the shelves! :)

There's been such a wonderful response to the donations for hats to keep children warm this Winter! Here are just some of the donations dropped off just last week! Thank you to all the makers on PEI and their generosity! There are still chairs to fill around the table, and y'all are welcome to join the hat-making group on Saturdays, from 2-4, at the shop at 251 Water St., Downtown Summerside. ;)

I'm not very experienced with making stuffed animals, so this was a real treat when a regular customer came in with her latest project! What a beautiful job!! This cute capybara pattern is on ravelry, sold by Ilyass, and is very well written. If you'd like to make one, we have lots of colours to choose from. I'm going to give it a go, at least once, due to it's cuteness, despite being a rodent lol!😉

Here it is! The scarf a customer ordered last week, made with Louisa Harding's Amitola Grande. With 2 balls of generous yardage, it turned out to be over 5 feet long! This was done in tuck stitch on the bulky knitting machine, and is 80% wool, 20% silk. It feels quite luxurious! I hope she likes it :)

Thanks to Toby and Compass, we have a new hat knitter in our group! We hope more will join us on Saturdays from 2-4pm to make warm hats for kids! All forms of craft will do, including knitting, crocheting, sewing, and any other warm result! :)

Such beauty! I had an order today for a scarf made with this yarn! It's going to be delightfully colourful!! :)

We are happy to host the 'hats for kids' program, and it's off to an encouraging start! All hat knitters are welcome to join us on Saturdays, 2-4pm, at the shop. There are still seats to fill and donations of yarn to make hats are also welcome! Thank you, Toby, for taking the lead on this important project! 😊

The very first guess yesterday on the yarn I used for the one-skein wonder was "cloud yarn"! Thank you Olivia for such a close guess! The only thing that needed to be included was "Tosh Silk". Yes, it is Tosh Silk Cloud! This luxurious yarn is made of 60% Kid Mohair, and 40% Silk. The scarf project is 172 stitches, knit in the round. No counting. No increases or decreases. No purling. Just glorious knitting! Here are just some of the glorious colours we have available in the shop for you to create yours! 😊

Can you guess the yarn I used to knit this light-as-a-cloud one-skein wonder? This scarf is easy, with just straight knitting in the round, finishged with a crocheted edge. It makes an elegant gift or to even treat yourself! There's a hint in the description, but if you're not able to guess which luxurious yarn I used, stay tuned to find out tomorrow... 😉
