Our senior art campers finished their week-long session with a relaxed sharing of their exploration. What beautiful creations! And that concludes our first ever summer camp series! Thank you Silvana Bruni, Kellen Hatanaka, and Philip Pace for four wonderful weeks of engaging, thoughtful and inspiring programming! Wishing everyone a wonderful last week of summer. Look who’s back! Flight Studio is very pleased to announce that Kellen Hatanaka will be returning to lead Art Mondays for children in grades 1-8. Kellen is a multidisciplinary artist who makes vibrant, figurative paintings and drawings that celebrate sport, design, history, and culture. What a gift! Our guest, Silvana Bruni led such a magnificent week of art practice and play. Our young campers’ creations were positively gorgeous. Thank you Silvana for visiting Flight! Meet Eric Lundgren, Flight Studio’s resident ukulele and guitar teacher. Eric was raised in the countryside of rural Wisconsin and now calls Stratford his home. He has a formal music education in contemporary and jazz guitar, arranging and composition. Eric leads our Uke Club for grades 1-6 and Group Guitar for grades 6-12 on Wednesdays. Meet Christo Graham. Flight Studio is very pleased to announce that Christo will be leading our Musical Munchkins program for children ages 4-6 on Saturday mornings beginning in September. Christo has his Royal Conservatory Piano Certification, a background in choral singing and music production as well as a virtuosity in a dozen instruments and musical styles. He has produced 11 albums and performed across Canada. Through games, movement, and sing-alongs, children will investigate the sounds of the natural world and the fundamentals of music creation in a playful environment with the goal of discovering that music is everywhere.
