Two, of six, new paintings by Pat Gibson that are enhancing our work environment as we head into fall. The first shown here is "Fields", an 8 x 8" oil on cradled panel and the next is "Summer", an 8 x 10" oil on cradled panel. Our Feature Window artist for the next several weeks is Mary Anne Dente with this new painting, "Morning on the Rocks". It is a 24 x 24" oil on cradled panel with vivid colour that highlights the beauty of the Canadian shield. It is one of three landscapes by Mary Anne in the window with others inside. We are open Wednesday to Saturday 10:00 to 4:00 and Sunday 11:00 to 3:00. Drop in to see more work by Mary Anne and work by all of our other very talented artists and craftspeople.

Here are two of the new landscapes that will be part of Tanya Zaryski's show opening on Saturday August 15th. Tanya will be joining us for a "Meet the Artist" from 1:00 to 3:00 on Saturday afternoon. Watch here for a link to a full online preview later this week. "Dusk" is a 12"round acrylic on board and "Barn is a 12 x 12" acrylic on cradled panel.

"Wolf Island Sunset" and "The Grand River, Caledonia" are both 5 x 7" images that have been matted, glassed and framed ready for the wall. Beat the heat this Saturday July 4th by joining us in our climate controlled gallery to meet the artist, Denise Nonomura and jeweller, Jennifer Hepburn. We are opening a show of new landscape pastels by Denise, "Land and Sky-Escapes in Pastel" and Jennifer will be showing some of her beautiful handcrafted sterling and semi precious stone jewellery that we haven't shown before. Jennifer will be on hand from 12:30 to 3:30 and Denise will be with us from 1:00 to 3:00. We have a preview of Denise's pastels online at: villagestudiosinstratford.blogspot.com All works are available for presale. "Setting Sun" is image size 11 x 15" framed to 16 x 20". Jennifer's 'Shadow Obsidian' necklace and her 'Sterling Silver with Textured Rings' necklace are currently in the gallery and available for purchase. "Close Quarters" is our Bill Schwarz window painting for this week. It is a 36 x 36" oil on cradled canvas and looks fantastic in the window with Scott Barnim pottery on either side. We have a number of new Bill Schwarz paintings on the gallery walls and a great selection of Scott Barnim pottery too.
