NEW ADULT CLASS: Fundamentals of Contemporary Portrait Painting - For Adults!
Starting October 6 - November 10
10:30AM-12:30PM

This course will focus on various approaches to creating portraits using acrylic media. Students will explore textures, outlines, and colour themes to express the mood and character of their subjects. Anatomy and fundamental proportions of the human face will be reviewed.
Participants will work from provided photos. They can choose to specialize in one medium or experiment with others.
Through this creative process, they will develop a deeper understanding of how to use visual elements in a portrait, the importance of values and a colour temperature.

This class is for students who are familiar with painting techniques and have a foundational drawing skills.

Anna Yuschuk is a contemporary artist with an extensive experience in painting, drawing and fine print media. Anna was born and studied art in Lviv, Ukraine, graduating from Lviv State Academy of Fine Arts in 1989.​ She was trained as a figurative artist , but gradually transitioned her focus to abstraction.

Since her move to Toronto she showed her artwork in over forty exhibitions in commercial and public galleries. She received artist's grants from Ontario Arts Council and Canada Art Council. Anna's paintings can be found in private and public collections in Canada, USA, Australia and UK. She lives and teaches in Stratford Ontario.

We have openings for individual art therapy sessions for children (6yrs +), youth and adults

Grace is accepting new clients for art therapy and is available Mondays & Tuesdays. Grace completed her training at the Art Therapy Institute in Toronto and is passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where children and teens can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences through the creative process.

Vanessa has availability Monday - Friday from 8-4:30pm

Adults only - Take a break from the busyness of everyday life and join us for Craft-ernoon—a relaxed afternoon of creativity, connection, and fun.

No artistic experience is needed! Whether you’re a seasoned creator or haven’t made art in years, everyone is welcome. There are no rules or expectations—just a chance to explore, create, and enjoy the process.

Your afternoon includes:
Two mini workshops (abstract, mixed media, art as a way to relax) led by local artists Laura Mowbray, Jordan Eveland, and art therapist Jazmine Singh.

A variety of creative activities, including mixed media, abstract art, and art for relaxation.
Time to work on your own projects, experiment with new materials, and connect with others.
Hosted by Vanessa, founder of Kind-heArted Studio, Craft-ernoon is all about slowing down, trying something new, and enjoying the simple pleasure of making something with your hands.
Come on your own, bring a friend, or gather a group—everyone has a place at the table.

Proud doesn't even begin to describe how I feel after this week at camp.

The highlight wasn't the activities or the schedule—it was watching kids simply play.

Not the kind of play with instructions, rules, or adults directing every move. Real, unstructured play. The kind where they create the rules, solve problems together, dream up worlds, and let their imaginations lead.

Watching this group embrace that freedom was incredible. They built games, had impromptu talent shows, solved challenges, included one another, and showed just how capable they are when they're trusted to lead their own play.

Camp is so much more than a week away from home. It's a place where kids rediscover the joy of being kids—and where freedom, creativity, and connection come alive.

And that might just be the greatest gift camp has to offer.
