Our camp motto:

TIRE. THEM. OUT. 😂

We have succeeded! Sometimes even our little energizer bunnies need to put their feet up and just CHILL.

Because after a day of playing hard, making memories, and burning approximately 47,000 calories worth of kid energy…a little downtime is exactly what's needed.

Proud doesn't even begin to describe how I feel after this week at camp.

The highlight wasn't the activities or the schedule—it was watching kids simply play.

Not the kind of play with instructions, rules, or adults directing every move. Real, unstructured play. The kind where they create the rules, solve problems together, dream up worlds, and let their imaginations lead.

Watching this group embrace that freedom was incredible. They built games, had impromptu talent shows, solved challenges, included one another, and showed just how capable they are when they're trusted to lead their own play.

Camp is so much more than a week away from home. It's a place where kids rediscover the joy of being kids—and where freedom, creativity, and connection come alive.

And that might just be the greatest gift camp has to offer.

Want to be more creative?

It starts with giving yourself permission to play. To be curious. To experiment, explore, and create without worrying about the outcome.

As adults, we often forget that creativity isn't about being perfect—it's about being willing to try, discover, and have fun along the way.

If you're looking for a day to discover or reconnect reconnect with your creative side, join us on October 4 at the Stratford Country Club from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

🎨 BYOS – Bring Your Own Supplies!
Not sure what to bring? No problem! We can suggest a few inexpensive supplies you can pick up at the dollar store.

✨ Mini workshops will be offered throughout the day to spark ideas, introduce new techniques, and inspire your creative journey.
Whether you're an experienced maker or someone who hasn't created in years, this is a welcoming space to explore, play, and create alongside others.
Come curious. Leave inspired.

One of the highlights of the afternoon was seeing our young artists proudly share their work with family, friends, and community members. The room was full of creativity, conversation, and encouragement, and it was wonderful to see so many families connecting and enjoying the experience together.
Thank you to Stubbe's Sip Shack for providing treats for kids and parents, Dave Jacob for auctioning off the artwork, Martin and Kathryn for hosting and providing hot dogs, and thank you everyone who supported our artists. Whether you attended the event, bid on artwork, purchased a piece, or simply admired the talent on display, your support meant a great deal. Events like this are possible because of a community that values and celebrates young people and their creativity. Mayor Martin Ritsma
