Here For Now Theatre is an award winning, feminist theatre company based in Stratford, Ontario. HFN produces new one-act plays. Located at 24 St. Andrew Street.

Founded in 2012 by Fiona Mongillo, and became a registered charity in June of 2022. Mandate:

Here For Now Theatre is an independent professional theatre company based in Stratford Ontario, that aims to challenge and inspire its audiences by producing a bold annual theatre season, comprised of new or underproduced plays. Here For Now focuses on the stories of women and also seeks to amplify all u

nheard voices. Mission Statement:

To produce a theatre season annually, with a focus on new works. To offer compact and compelling stories in a primarily one act format. To tell a variety of stories centering around ‘othered’ voices and silenced or lost histories, especially those of women. To engage local artists and contribute to the Canadian Canon of theatre by providing a showcase for new playwrights. To support other artists and artistic structures in our local community by seeking ways to collaborate and support each other. To employ and feature primarily Stratford-based artists. To optimize the company’s finances through fundraising, donations and otherwise.

The last of our MONDAY NIGHT READING SERIES is I QUIT THE BAND by Charlotte Corbeil-Coleman, happening on August 24 at 4 pm on the Rose McQueen Stage!

I Quit The Band is a witty and insightful new play that explores friendship, ambition, creativity, and the challenges of finding one's voice. Set against the backdrop of the music world, the play follows characters navigating personal and artistic crossroads, questioning what success means and what sacrifices are required in pursuit of it. Filled with humour and heart, “I Quit the Band” examines the complicated relationships that shape our lives and the courage it takes to choose a new path.
