Hi yes I am Indigenous and yes I create art....and yes I have a website so I am a professional Indigenous artist but my work is not "traditional" my work is uniquely mine. Each feather is given the room to choose its form that it will be until nature takes its course, for now it holds shape due to a solution I use to hold the form.

I chose grey as a background because it is a neutral tone and I wanted to give this piece room to morph with the energy within...

I chose black and white to bring balance to the painting....the spirals represent time and each spiral is a life....the bigger ones represent loved ones while the rest is acquaintances....but the business on one side of the feather emits chaos for me and I love that the feather holds space for clarity, truth and communication to filter through so we can be more present moment by moment.

why I chose a blue Jay feather...

it came to me...I found it in my yard...this feather spiritually means a turning point towards good is unfolding and encourages you to follow your dreams while offering guidance during difficult decisions...this spirit energy represents clarity, truth and communication...

so this piece is titled
"Patience"

as I write this out i am constantly reminded to be present and be patient, especially when faced with difficult decisions...so yes this piece has a beautiful energy about it...a reminder to be here and now, because present, and be confident knowing you are being watched over with the spirit of blue Jay, guiding you through those moments you need some clarity, truth and communication...

happy Wednesday...is it weird enough? its definitely a work in progress...I told ya just a glimpse into what I am creating...

this painting is called "fallen feathers" and I thought it was don3 amd when I started sculpting the feathers I realized I am not done, because this painting made me look at the forgotten feathers, the ones that look ragged and exhausted from the elements taking its toll on it. sound familiar? I definitely can relate. but I also look at a feather as a symbol of those who passed on, I think of my step-dad and my grandma and this painting is about grief and honoring those who moved on. gone but not forgotten and when I see a lonely feather...I know its someone I loved or a spirit guide but definitely a sign that I am always surrounded with love and support...even if I can't see it or feel it, these feathers are a reminder that I am never alone and to stop and admire the beauty and shapes of this world because just like each feather has a story, an energy, and/or a lesson, each peace was made in a place of peace, joy, contentment and moments of grief...and as I type this i see the image and I sense something else....this piece has evolved, and I definitely feel the pull to sit with it and listen...so ya getting things ready for Saturday...thanks again and if you are in Parkland County I hope you stop by 3pm to 7pm in Spring Lake, AB and come get a close look at my new feather art...I absolutely love and adore feathers...I find them beautiful just like your soul, so unique and exquisite...I am honoured to get to know you and do business with you...stay tuned for the unveiling of my new "feather art" series the fresh start...

This is a creative burst i see it now...and my confidence is at its best in a long time. I am feeling pumped...and I have so many to thank for this moment, so thank you everyone!

I am no longer worried, everything is working out. I am witnessing that today...just for now...my needs are met, I am not in a state of survival...for the first time I feel like my time is valuable and today I am confident in my prices...because today I am confident in me to achieve the life I deserve. So thank you for supporting an artist, a professional artist, a Canadian Indigenous Artist who wants to earn your trust too...hi, I am me, I identify as a spiritual being having this human experience playing the role of an artist today and I go by Nicole Kazonie, nice to meet you.

The act of creating inspires me lately, the joy of being in the moment and as I paint or create, the thoughts that visit and wander and suddenly I am in an existential crisis to then I ask who is thinking this!? And i come back to my art and transmute that energy throughout my being...I know in spirit that energy flows all around us in in all ways....and we share that energy and I love the idea that I get to share my joy, my hope, my peace and whatever else moves within....my art spoke to you and for that I am grateful....you like the energy or you don't and that is ok...I appreciate you saying hi in the comments

I am experimenting and I figured out how to sculpted a feather....oh my heart, i am overjoyed!

Hi I am Nicole I am a Canadian Indigenous artist from Alberta...I am exploring the arts and the many different ways to create art but I have been an artist my whole life just spent 25 years of it being a hair artist for the best clientele ever....and had to hang up my scissors due to health issues...so I returned to paintbrushes and I am so grateful I did...I was born to create...I was born to enjoy ehat life has to offer even if I am on disability. I am allowed to make an income and I have the right to choose how I make my income. So I built a website...I put in the hours...I had help of a professional photographer to provide me high resolution photos for my prints...so grateful...

its wild, I heard a few years ago that its not out job to save, educate or guide anyone, I realized I dislike it when I am told how to do something...but I respect others desires more. I like making people happy...that is my goal and creating art makes me happy. so I encourage others to create and remind others to let nothing stop you. we can use anything we have and make something new...its our home, our space and be eccentric, share the essence of what we possess, repair the broken, give something a new look, tap into your creativity...😊✌️
