🎨 SOLO EXHIBITION ANNOUNCEMENT 🎨
I am incredibly excited to announce my upcoming solo show, Internal Compass, hosted by Gallery 210! 🧭✨
This exhibition is a visual map of a lifelong creative journey—where the rhythm of my years as a rider, gardener, and flamenco dancer translates directly onto canvas and paper. Rather than following a straight line, the show highlights how intuition guides my shifts between crisp, detailed botanical monotypes and the heavy, layered textures of abstract paint.
We are kicking things off with a massive celebration for Nuit Blanche Winnipeg! 🍁

The Morning’s Work

The windless holiday hangs heavy and gray,
named for the boy we loved and wept for.
Today, it is my only job to sit and watch
from the lush green deck, across the expansive lawn,
where the frantic songs of nesting spring have faded
into a quiet, soft melody in the trees.

I mistook the sudden drop for vulnerability—
a clumsy fledgling tumbling from the wood,
learning the hard lessons of the air.

But there is no weakness in this garden.
He is a full-grown king in a ruby coat,
snapping invisible flies from the silence,
returning with absolute precision to his perch.

My mind drifts back to Thunder Bay,
standing at his memorial in the profound quiet
with my person and our dearest friends.
We were so still then, by the highway,
just as the air is perfectly still now.

The years have shifted, spaces have emptied,
but the fierce, unbroken spirit remains—
holding the line on a morning meant for memory.

Six of my original monotypes have been accepted into the 2026 Annual International Mail-In Art Exhibition (AIMAE) with the Federation of Canadian Artists! 🎨✈️
AIMAE is a highly competitive, global event open to artists worldwide. Every piece in the show is limited to a compact, unframed size of 8 × 10 inches or smaller.
Monotypes are entirely unique "one-of-one" prints—meaning each of these six works on paper can never be replicated: [1, 2]
* 🖐️ 5 Acrylic Monotypes
* 🧪 1 Alcohol Ink & Acrylic Mixed Media Monotype
Having this entire collection pass the international blind jury to hang on the gallery walls is an absolute dream, and they are all now in the running for the $1,000 First Place Grand Prize! 🏆
