I'm Matt (he/him/his), and I'm the guy behind Harbour Loft Photography.

I find my inspiration in the real moments that make people and places unique. I love setting out with my camera to capture the beauty found in Newfoundland’s foggy landscapes and rich textures. The business you’ve created. Your growing family. The incredible product you built from scratch. Whatever it is, we’ll work together to create authentic photos that feel like you. I pride myself on collaboration and creating a safe space for my clients. We’ll work together before the shoot so I can learn more about you and what you’re looking for. Through the process, it’s important that you feel comfortable and heard – that’s my commitment to you. A branding session should give you more than a few nice headshots.

A strong gallery gives you a mix of photos you can actually use — across your website, social media, promotions and everything in between.

And Realtors, your listing photos can keep working long after the SOLD sign goes up. 👀

A few recent favorites from behind the lens. 📸

We asked Matt & Amanda to dig through some of their recent shoots and pick a couple of shots that stood out to them. No rules, just the ones they’ve been loving lately.

From cozy Newfoundland character and a boathouse full of stories, to wide-open spaces and a pretty unreal view of downtown St. John’s, their picks ended up being a pretty good mix.

Not every listing needs the same kind of floor plan.

Same room. Different angle. Different purpose.

When we photograph a home, where we position the camera is intentional.

An angled shot can show more of the space and how different areas flow together. A straight-on shot creates a more focused composition that captures the feeling and features of the room.

Neither is necessarily better — they’re telling you something different about the space.

Because good real estate photography isn’t just about what’s in the frame. It’s about what the frame communicates.
