Introducing tomorrow night's headliner!

Arriving in Newfoundland on an ice pan from Labrador 40 plus years ago- this late bloomer of comedy has taken stages from St. John's to Calgary. Mark "the Canoe" Harnett's material comes to life from his own personal experiences and opinions, culture, political views, relationships, and being a dad. Often labeled a "suggestive" comedian who's witty, yet edgy- whose jokes and stories make some wonder if they should laugh or not. Mark likes to make his audience think, and sometimes feel uncomfortable- but they should always remember that its OK to laugh as life is too short to be taken too seriously! His resume includes performances at Yuk Yuks, Mussel Bed Soiree Comedy Night, Chuckles Comedy Club, Live Stand-Up Comedy, Something Funny, Hubcap Comedy Festival, Newfoundland Comedy Festival, Shaun Majumder's The Gathering and have emceed many events. He's shared the stage with John Sheehan, Pete Zedlacher, Nikki Payne, Matt Wright, Colin Hollett, Carla Collins, and emceed and headlined numerous events.

9 Lives Comedy is proud to introduce the 2nd act on the show this coming Saturday Chris Dunn!

Christopher has been performing stand up, improv and sketch across Canada and parts of the US for 6 years. He received runner up on Season 2 of James Mullinger's Comedy Bootcamp. The following year he showcased for Just For Laughs. He is the Artistic Director of Night Out Productions which has produced and promoted local and international comedy favourites. These include Matt Wright (via Matturday Wright Live), Ryan Dillon, Michael Lynch, DeAnne Smith, Chris Locke, Adam Christie, Caleb Synan and more. He's currently producing the Braxton Comedy Festival with his pal Mike Hammond! He's a tall drink of water and a former swimmer! And he lives on this island too! So WATER you waiting for! Our opening act this time around is Dan Hiscock! He was born and raised in the east end of St. John’s, but don’t hold that against him. Dan is new to the comedy scene, but is loving every minute of it. For his day job, he works in the communications field and also does some freelance writing. Be sure to check out his online humour at on Instagram. In his spare time, Dan likes to pretend he goes to the gym, have a beer while watching some Anthony Bourdain shows, and hang out with his three year old daughter, although not usually at the same time.

Sarah Walsh is a comedian and visual artist from St. John's. After starting comedy on a whim at 18, she hasn't stopped since, performing in many different parts of Canada and opening for Jason Rouse, Debra Digiovanni, and Mark Forward. A regular contributor for the Scope, The Herald, and a number of online articles, she also writes and illustrates her own comic (Kiddo) and often incorporates a sense of dark humor into her art work. Featured on Exit Realty's Comedy on the Rock Festival (CBC, 2013), Roger's Comedy In The City (2011), the Braxton Comedy Festival (2017 and 2018) and countless open mics, her morbid humor and child-like aloofness never ceases to entertain!
