In this music biz world we're instructed to write bios, list our accomplishments, upload high quality photos and have superior online content of highlighted moments from live shows so that we can get into festivals or get grants.

We can really wear ourselves out trying to be the jack of all trades while missing the very point of why we were interested in making music in the first place. Sometimes I become so weary of the hustle, that I just want to throw my phone into the sea and never look at it again, but then how would I share my music and learn about everyone else's new music?! It's a double edged sword.

I've ticked a lot of boxes some would say are accomplishments; Seven self-managed solo tours to Europe, a couple across Canada, shows in the States and Mexico, several major festivals in Germany, Sweden and the US, three singles, six albums, eight award nominations (though I've never won an award), and the general satisfaction of living off only live music performance since 2021!🙏😮

I'm ready for a new page of this book. I've been working on incorporating new sounds with Alex Pauzé on lead guitar and the possibility of starting a new band as well. I've also recently joined the Wracket Music Supervision team and I've been learning so much about music from a completely different lens!

I can truly say I'm thankful for what God has enabled and YET there's one box I'll never tick off. I'll never stop doing what I was created to do. I'll never stop writing songs and poems for as long as I live. Even if no one ever hears those songs, I'll find complete satisfaction in that alone.

I believe we were all created with unique gifts and abilities. I'm here to encourage you to keep doing what you love and are most passionate about because in the end, those worldly accomplishments will just be an afterthought anyway!
