MEET THE DIRECTOR!

Janet O'Reilly studied theatre at MUN and at University of Toronto.

Acting credits include: Nothing On Productions’ Pavilion, August: Osage County; SBTS’s Comedy of Errors and Twelfth Night; MUN productions of Blade, The Good Body, Donnie Darko and Seven Stories; Beothuck Street Players’ Scorched, Buried Child, The Heidi Chronicles and Drink the Mercury. Film acting credits include: two episodes of Pet ER (Best Boy), The World is Burning (Oak and Arrow), and Take Charge NL ad.

Janet has been kicking around theatres in St. John's for over 20 years now, and while she usually directs shows with her own company Nothing On Productions, she's very proud sit in the directors chair for Joint Productions.

Perfect wedding is Janet's eighth production this year. To list out everything she’s done in the past twelve months would take too long, so just trust her when she says "I've done a lot"!

MEET THE CAST!
Well traveled as an actor with other companies, Ian Campbell usually directs or produces for Joint Productions. He looks forward to shifting to an acting role for Joint Productions in PERFECT WEDDING, December 8th to 11th at the Barbara Barrett Basement Theatre.

Acting highlights include playing Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Funeral Pyre Theatre – London, Ontario), Duncan in A Pirate Play (Out of a Box Kid’s Theatre), and Romeo, Hamlet, Lysander, Brutus, Macbeth, and a variety of other characters over three wonderful seasons of Shake it Up! with the Shakespeare by the Sea Festival (SBTS). He also enjoyed recently performing in Christmas by Candlelight at Commissariat House.

Directing highlights include Richard III, A Comedy of Errors, and Shylock (SBTS), Boeing Boeing and Don’t Dress for Dinner (Joint Productions), The Pavilion (Nothing On Productions), and Seussical the Musical (Althouse Productions – London, Ontario).

Ian currently serves as Artistic Producer for Joint Productions and Artistic Director for the Shakespeare by the Sea Festival. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from York University and a Bachelor of Education Degree from the University of Western Ontario.

MEET THE CAST!

Irene Duma joins the Joint Productions family in PERFECT WEDDING, running December 8th to 11th at the Barbara Barrett Basement Theatre.

An actor, writer, and filmmaker, Irene got her comedy chops performing improv and sketch comedy in Toronto. She has studied and performed at The Second City, Theatresports, New School of Drama, and has also trained in Pochinko clown with Mump and Smoot and the Theatre Resource Centre. Irene's recent theatre credits include appearing in "August: Osage County" and "Actor's Nightmare" (Nothing On Productions) and "Here" (Rock Solid Productions).

She is thrilled to play the mom in Perfect Wedding - she most recently played a birdmom in the short film "The Perfect Family" and thinks she has found her perfect niche.

MEET THE CAST!

Perfect Wedding runs from December 8th to the 11th at the Barbara Barrett Basement Theatre.

Hillary Bushell is happy to share the stage again with a familiar crew and is thrilled to have the opportunity.

This will be her second show with Joint Productions after "Boeing Boeing" and second show under Janet's tutelage after "Unnecessary Farce." You may have seen her in other such venues as Merchant Tavern or Shakespseare By The Sea, where she most recently appeared as Hermia in "A Midsummer Night's Dream."

She looks forward to sharing the experience with you.

MEET THE CAST!

Perfect Wedding plays December 8th to the 11th at the Barbara Barrett Basement Theatre.

Spencer Bellows is an actor and producer who has recently returned to St. John's after spending two years away. Most recently he appeared in a production of "Lippy" by Bush Moukarzel for the 2016 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, as well as several other shows with Edinburgh theatre companies over the prior year. Outside of "Perfect Wedding", Spencer is currently a production assistant for Sweetline Theatre Company's upcoming production of "Three Days of Rain" and a producer with Night Out Productions. Past St. John’s theatre credits include acting in "The Comedy of Errors" and "All’s Well That Ends Well" with Shakespeare by the Sea and stage managing "Fleming" written by Paul Rowe and produced by the Basilica Heritage Foundation.

MEET THE CAST!

PERFECT WEDDING runs December 8 to 11 at the Barbara Barrett Theatre. Today we meet another cast member, Sabrina Roberts, who Joint Productions is thrilled to welcome back, after her first performance with us as Jacqueline in "Don't Dress for Dinner" in 2014.

Full of raw talent, charisma, and diversity, Sabrina brings a load of experience and a positive energy to the show. An Executive Assistant and a full-blown Thespian, Sabrina maintains an enjoyable balance between work and play… With a deep love of both spreadsheets and organization, it’s sometimes difficult to differentiate her professional life from her guilty pleasures!

You might recognize Sabrina from her recent roles such as Regina in "Rock of Ages" (TaDa! Events), Flotsam, the eel on rollerblades, in "The Little Mermaid" (Theatre St. John’s), Sister Amnesia in "Nunsense" (St. John’s Players), Hunyak in "Chicago" (TaDa!), and Katherine in "Taming of the Shrew" (Shakespeare By The Sea)… to name a few. Sabina looks forward to performing in her second farce with Joint Productions.

MEET THE CAST!

Perfect Wedding Runs from December 8th to the 11th at the Barbara Barrett Basement theatre. Here's your chance to get to know the talented actors who will take the stage.

Emily Corcoran is a theatre and film actress residing in Newfoundland.

Her recent theatre credits include "Salt Water Moon", "Love and Information" and "Work in Progress." Recent film credits include "Crocuses" (Wanda Nolan), "Up Close and Perosnal" (Jana Gillis), "Twice" (David Feehan) and "Sadie" (Latonia Hartery). Emily's debut film as a writer/director "Shattered Mind's Eye" is currently in post-production.

She is very happy to get the opportunity to work alongside such talented and wonderful individuals and hopes you enjoy this "perfect" wedding!

AUDITION NOTICE: Joint Productions is casting four female actors for our upcoming production of Perfect Wedding by Robin Hawdon.

We are casting:
RACHEL: 20s to 30s (The Bride)
JUDY: 20s to 30s (The Girlfriend)
JULIE: 20s to 30s (The Maid)
DAPHNE: 40s to 50s (Mother of the Bride)

Perfect Wedding will be directed by Janet O'Reilly
and produced by Ian Campbell and Alex Mason.

Auditions are October 7 from 6:30 to 9:30PM and October 8 from 1:30 to 4:30PM at the St. John’s Arts & Culture Centre.

Show dates are Dec 8 to 11 at the Barbara Barrett Theatre.
Rehearsals begin Oct 25.
