What an incredible way to finish our 2025/26 competitive season at 5678 Showtime in Whistler!

I am so proud of all of our dancers for not only their amazing performances, but for the kindness, professionalism, and respect they showed to everyone around them all weekend long. You represented our studio so beautifully and truly showed what it means to be part of a supportive dance family.

A huge thank you to Lyndsay Westall for all of her hard work, dedication, and support with her dancers throughout the season and this final competition weekend.

And a very special congratulations to our graduating dancers — Sophia, Kaila, Ally, Maddie, Sierra, and Aoife on competing in your final competition. We are so proud of the incredible young women and dancers you have become, and we cannot wait to see where life takes you next.

Congratulations to all of our duo and Trios. HSDA placed third overall in this category.

Congratulations to Brooklyn Morum for receiving a special award for Best performance for her novelty solo “ Are you there?”

🎓 Grad Spotlight 2026 - Madeline Hawkings 🎓

Favourite dance memory: Although picking one memory feels impossible the first thing that always comes to mind is the 5678 showtime dance competition we partake in each year. Whether we are going out for dinner as a team or simply sitting on the floor backstage, this competition holds so many core memories that I will cherish forever.

Advice for young dancers just starting their dance journey: My advice to younger dancers is to enjoy every moment with your team, even if it’s just a typical day at the studio. We are so lucky to spend everyday dancing with our best friends and that’s what I will miss the most.
