We are a creative recreation studio in Squamish BC, offering classes in musical theatre, dance, and singing for all ages!

Act Alive offers performing and expressive arts opportunities and yoga classes for kids, teens and adults in Squamish, BC Canada. We aim to provide classes that are engaging and thought provoking in an environment that encourages uniqueness, awareness, wonder and curiosity in people of all ages.

Our camps and classes and birthday parties plant the seeds of friendship, offer learning through experience , and increase confidence and self esteem through play and self discovery. Artistic Director Jessica Kelly has been instructing children's performing arts and yoga for over 15 years and is thrilled to be offering innovative arts camps and classes events to the families in her community.

When your first 9 to 5 rehearsal is unintentionally scheduled on Dolly day, you know the year is going to be pure magic!

Huge thanks to all these incredibly brave and talented folks who have said yes this year, and shown up bright eyed and bushy tailed.

This show is feeling so divinely aligned (can you believe we actually secured the rights BEFORE Dolly’s passing?) and we can’t wait to bring the show to life and honour the legend that is Dolly Parton ❤️

The most life changing things about being a theatre kid don’t happen on the stage. They happen in every moment you feel apart of something, every time your confidence grows, and every moment that the bond you share with your cast mates grows stronger.

It’s things like the smile in the hallway, the person to sit beside at lunch, or the person who stands up for you on the bus.

Being a teen is a challenge, and having connections with people who see you for who you can make all the difference in the world.

Around here we don’t actually care if you can sing, dance and act (we’ve got rehearsals for that!) but what’s most important to us is creating a support network of creative, fun and brave individuals who aren’t afraid to take chances and use their voice.

Because those are the things that really matter when you’re out there in the world!

Being apart of a theatre community is such an impactful way to grown, learn and create a group of true blue friends who’ve got your back.

If you know a creative youth who wants to build their skills in singing, dancing and acting and be apart of fun and exciting musical production, Act Alive’s teen program is calling 📞.

This year we will be taking on Mean Girls Jr. while in turn building our anti-mean girl collective simultaneously.

We meet on Tuesdays from 3:45-6:00pm and have an add on tap class (can also be taken separately) from 6:30-7:30pm.

We start in 2 weeks so there is still plenty of time to get into the flow of the school year, however the program is almost full so don’t delay if you want to participate this year.

This is a no cut program where there is a place for everyone, and we take great care and effort to make sure that everyone feels seen, heard and valued.
