Happy Friday from beautiful Three Monkeys Tattoo and Piercing in Spruce Grove. We have Grant,Ashlyn and Mackenzie in the house for all your tattoo needs. We have a few walk in appointments available get a hold of us while they last.
Leanne is also in the house for all your piercing needs as well so stop by for your back to school piercings.

Over the years we have heard a lot of piercing myths, so here are a few quick ones we'd love to clear up.

Myth #1: Piercing guns are fine for everything
Truth: Guns can cause unnecessary trauma and can’t be properly sterilized. Professional piercers use sterile, single-use needles designed for safe piercing.

Myth #2: Twisting your jewelry helps it heal
Truth: Twisting actually irritates the piercing and can slow healing. Leaving it alone is usually best.

Myth #3: Alcohol or peroxide is the best cleaner
Truth: These are too harsh and can damage healing tissue. A simple sterile saline solution is usually all that’s needed.

Myth #4: If it’s red it must be infected
Truth: Most piercings go through normal irritation during healing. True infections are actually less common when proper aftercare and jewelry are used.

Piercings should be a positive experience, not something stressful or confusing. If you ever have questions about a piercing (even if we didn’t do it), We’re always happy to help or point you in the right direction
