Ward recognizes the positive impact that dance, as a physical activity & art form, has on heart health, fitness and mental well-being. As such, the programs at Ward continue to expand, helping students of all ages stay active and dance to the beat of their heart. While much has changed during our 50 years of business, our professional staff remains dedicated to providing a friendly and positive at

mosphere for both dancers and their families, in Spruce Grove, AB and the surrounding area. Ward now boasts an online software system allowing parents/students to pay fees, see class schedules, sign up for workshops. We offer classes for students ages 3 to adult, in a wide variety of disciplines including jazz, tap, ballet, pointe, hip hop, lyrical, musical theatre, contemporary, stretch and preschool - from beginner to advanced levels.We are pleased to offer our students both festival (competitive) and non-festival(recreational) classes that run from September to May.

📣🎓Graduate🎓🎊Tessa has been part of the Ward fam for 15 fabulous years! As a helper of MANY classes over the years, it's no surprise she'll pursuing a Bachelor of Elementary Education at University of Alberta. A long history of awesome tap solos will clue you into her favorite genre. Her favorite memory? "Making it to finals and Miss Kelsey putting glitter in our hair" She wants the many tiny dancers she's influenced to "always do your best and be a good role model, you never know who’s looking up to you". The thing she thinks she'll be remembered for even speaks to those young dancers: "Bops and selling the Mazda" iykyk!!! If she was an animal she'd be a turtle because they live forever. Your legacy will linger Miss Tessa! We are so proud of you!

📣🎓Graduate🎓🎊Jill! We can't imagine a time without Jilly, but she only joined us three years ago. It's no surprise her favorite genre is lyrical after she performed many beautiful lyrical solos. Next year she will be attending the University of Alberta to get her Bachelor of Education in Secondary Ed, where all of those hours assisting classes will most certainly pay off. Her favorite memory is "impossible to choose! I did love all of our giant buzzes when we had many dances in the same category, and our jazz tech among us games, and my final recital where I bawled my eyes out and got to hug all my favorite people!" She'd like to remind the gaggle of girls that idolize her from assisting to "Enjoy every little moment of your dancing days, and try to befriend as many people as possible of all ages and abilities :) you will remember the friendships you made far more than what medals you earned." (Unsurprisingly) Wise words from someone who thinks they'd be a fox if they were an animal "because they are so cute but clever and adaptable." We are so proud of you Jilly!

📣🎓Graduate🎓🎊Ada has been dancing with us for 12 glorious years! Accompanied by many fabulous memories, her favorite has to be "going to New York and dancing on times square! Plus getting to hangout with my friends!" This fall she's headed to Kings University for Bachelor of Kinesiology... which is great because Ada is correct when she assumes one of the things she'll be remembered for is getting injured in random ways in random places quite frequently. She'll be able to self-diagnose soon! Her favorite genre is ballet and she wants young dancers to remember to "take it all in. time goes by so quickly. cherish every moment and take lots of pictures. make lots of memories!" This caring and comedic young lady thinks she'd be a penguin, because she would like to slide on her stomach down an ice hill and they seem so happy! We are so happy for you Ada! And so, so proud!

📣🎓Graduate🎓🎊Penny joined the Ward fam only two short years ago but will leave a lasting impact! In fact, one of her favorite memories is "My first week at Ward was definitely my favorite. I got to meet so many people during the first week and from there I only continued to make lifelong best friends." Her favorite genre? Contemporary. What is she doing next year? Taking the year off to let herself have a nice break and fully enjoy life before heading back to school. She is absolutely correct that she will be remembered her hard work and gratitude towards Ward, in addition to her positive spirit! Her advice to young dancers is: "Live fully in every moment that comes to you and learn from everything. Dance will always be there and once you learn to fully enjoy and learn from it, life will be so much better. " And we don't think that it's any mistake that her answer to "what animal would you be?" is the same as our very own Joan, a Giraffe; not only strong, but kind and determined. We are so proud of you Penny!

🎉🎓Graduate🎓🎊 Laila is a future paramedic who loves ballet! She’s been dancing with us for 8 glorious years, bringing humour & grounding to her classes. Her favorite memories include “when we would play mafia in jazz tech. Linden would always narrate and give us the weirdest deaths. We’d give someone the ability to mute someone every round and it would always be Kenna becuase she wouldn’t stop talking when we were “sleeping”. Laila thinks we will remember her for how loud she is but we hope you’re listening to her words of wisdom: “Don’t let others ruin your passion for dance, dance for yourself and nobody else!”. If Laila was an animal, she’d probably be a fish. “I think it’d be fun to swim around in the ocean and explore. I wouldn’t want to be a pet fish though, I want to explore instead of being stuck in a little bowl!” You’ll never be stuck anywhere kiddo! Your future is so bright! We are so proud of you!

🎉🎓Graduate🎓🎊 Kara has been with us for 12 wonderful years! She was such a tiny little mite when she started and now she hopes to be known for the many times she’s paid it forward and helped with MANY tiny dancers ❤️ Her favourite genre is tap and she will always remember hotel nights from comp season. This creative gal intends to go to post secondary for carpentry or cabinet making. “Don’t give up on yourself because others don’t believe in you.” is what she’d tell younger dancers. And perhaps inspired by Happy Feet 🐧 , she says if she could be any animal, she’d be a penguin “because I know my penguin buddy’s will always be by my side when no one else is. “ We are so proud of you Kara! Can’t wait to see what you accomplish!

📣🎓Graduate 🎓🎊Danalyn has been with us for 8 fabulous years. In that time she's pretty certain she's gained a reputation for her facial expressions on stage but from our perspective she's also shown incredible resilience, coming back for an ACL tear in January 2025 to compete in the 2026 season. Absolutely incredible D!!! She wants to remind young dancers to not "compare yourself to others, focus on your own progress and celebrate your achievements". One of her favorite memories is getting to dance in Times Square. She'll be making even more awesome memories at the University of Victoria next year, pursuing psychology. Her favorite genre is contemporary and if she was animal she'd be a cat, so she could sleep all day. To which we say, this tenacious gal? We think not. All the best Danalyn! We are so proud of you!!!
