We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Georgina Lightning this past weekend.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have welcomed Georgina as a guest speaker at our Mistatim Alumni Gathering this summer. It was a special opportunity for our Mistatim participants and families to hear directly from her, to listen to her stories and reflections, and to share a meaningful moment together as a community.

Georgina joined us with warmth, honesty, and generosity. She shared her experiences and took the time to answer questions from our participants and families, creating a conversation that was thoughtful, personal, and deeply appreciated by everyone gathered.

Looking back on that day now, we are especially grateful for the time she gave us. Her presence became an important part of our Mistatim Alumni Gathering and a memory that our participants, families, and Skydancer community will carry with us.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Georgina’s family, friends, loved ones, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Thank you, Georgina, for sharing your time, your voice, and your stories with us. We are honoured that you were part of our Mistatim journey.

You will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. 🧡
