Thank you so much to everyone who helped make our Cornwall Comedy Festival “Masters of Montreal” gala, at Aultsville Theatre, a resounding success! The close to sell out crowd, was treated to an evening of laughs they won’t soon forget! Nearly $5,000 was raised in support of PawPortunity Rescue, Beyond 21, Help Addiction & Mental Health Recovery Services Cornwall Cornwall and Aultsville Theatre.

Our host, Derek Seguin (SiriusXM Top Comic), headliner, Joey Elias (Just For Laughs, Winnipeg Comedy Festival) and comedians David Acer (The Comedy Nest), Carly Baker (Just For Laughs), David Pryde (CBC's The Debaters) and Heidi Foss (This Hour Has 22 Minutes) had the entire room in stitches! The whole evening was wall to wall laughs from start to finish! We’ve never received so many compliments about a show!

Joey has appeared at 12 Just for Laughs Festivals and the 2004 and 2006 Just For Laughs Cross Canada Tour. In 2004 he ventured to Afghanistan for the first time to entertain Canadian troops. Joey has appeared in several movies, including “The Wool Cap” with William H. Macy and “The Day After Tomorrow” with Dennis Quaid. His three Just for Laughs gala performances were televised on CBC and can still be seen on CTV Comedy Channel. Joey has his very own TV special on “Comedy Now!” and was also the host of CBC’s “All Access Pass” at the 2004 and 2005 Just For Laughs Festival

Heidi is a four-time Canadian Comedy Awards nominee for Best Female Stand-up Comic. She’s appeared at Just For Laughs, Halifax ComedyFest, Winnipeg Comedy Festival, CTV’s Comedy Now, and CBS’s Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen. Heidi also has a recurring role on the hit CBS series, Ghosts. Heidi is an acclaimed screenwriter and won a Canadian Comedy Award for her writing on This Hour Has 22 Minutes. Her animated feature film, Butterfly Tale, won the 2021 Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film, Screenplay Award and is in theatres, across Canada, this October!
