“Spring Break Up” was inspired by a plein air study done in front of my home. I was really attracted to the turquoise/teal color of the thin ice surrounding the islands on Lake Huron that evening. The next morning, the ice was gone! This piece is a 6x12” oil on canvas paper and is available.

“Come Sail Away” is an invitation to those who sail and kite! Looks like a perfect day on Lake Huron. This little piece is only 3x6” and you cannot yet find it on my website. Sure makes me want to sit at the beach!

A little reminder of the cold winter that has so recently left us! “Winter at the Lake” is a 6x12” oil on canvas paper. The sky was so blue against the contrast of those clouds! It is the view from the front of my home, a view of the Oliphant Fishing Islands in Lake Huron that I paint often. This will be mounted on panel and framed in a lovely white wood float frame.

“The Promise of Summer” is a 24 x 12” oil on panel that was inspired by just that! I was out and about on a spring day and the clouds over Lake Huron were really quite beautiful. It was still cold, like it seems to be all the time this spring but spring (and summer), was definitely in the air and in the skies! This piece has not been framed yet, but will be soon with a white float frame. It is available. Message me if you would like more information.

I have had my head in the clouds this spring while I’ve been waiting for summer to arrive! I’ve taken a deep dive into painting a number of pieces that capture the clouds over the waters and shorelands of Lake Huron where I live. This piece is one of my favourites. It is titled “Weather Coming Over the Fen” and is a 12 x 24” oil on panel. It is available.
