We've been waiting 20 years for this! June 5 - 7 at the Avalon: THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2!!
A sequel to the 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada, it sees Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci reprising their roles, joined by Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, and Kenneth Branagh. Set two decades after the events of the first film, it follows Andy Sachs (Hathaway) as she helps Miranda Priestly (Streep) navigate a new media landscape and corporate threats to the survival of Runway magazine.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 (playing this weekend at The Avalon) is not directly based on any of the written books. While the author, Lauren Weisberger, did write a literary sequel to her original 2003 novel titled Revenge Wears Prada, the movie sequel tells an entirely different, original story. The film sets its narrative about twenty years after the first movie, exploring the modern decline of traditional magazine publishing, and features new story arcs written specifically for the screen.
