I started photographing Jordan every year for Father's Day when he was, well, a lot shorter! Last year, I told his Mom I wouldn't take next year's photos unless she agreed to be in them and brought Dad. I didn't say it to be difficult - I said it because before you know it, your kids are grown, and they leave. I hate having my picture taken, like really hate it, so I understand the reluctance. But even if you dont want to do it for yourself, you need to do it for your kids because they want to see you and remember you just as much as you want the same of them.
PS—It was really sweet to realize that his girlfriend is Julia, whom I have known since before she could even dribble a basketball.
