A preview of one of my new large pieces.

The Artist (Sees in Colours) was inspired by my desire to create a unique self-portrait with emphasis on bold colours and whimsical brush strokes. I followed my intuition to create a piece that speaks to my soul and reflects who I am as an artist. This piece is a 24x30 inches in size, on deep canvas made in Canada.

A preview of my new large work - Stained Glass Octopus

I’m deeply fascinated by the octopus; it is a recurring muse for many of my paintings, as I find their ability to transform their appearance captivating. For this piece I wanted create something bold, bright and colourful. It transforms 3D acrylic paint and embellishments into a stained-glass style work of art. This piece is a whopping 30x30 inch (2.5ftx2.5ft) in size, on deep wood canvas made in Canada.

This weekend is the Sooke Secret Garden Tour! Come out to support our local gardens and artists. Lots of activities happening including the My Secret Garden show at the Sooke Arts Council Gallery!

This weekend, June 6-7, the Sooke Secret Garden Tour returns—and we are pleased to be one of the stops on the tour.

While you’re visiting the gallery, take some time to enjoy our new My Secret Garden art exhibition, which opened today and features work inspired by hidden beauty, private sanctuaries, and gardens of the imagination.

On Saturday, we’ll also have live jazz behind the gallery, adding even more atmosphere to this special weekend.

Please note that the Sooke Secret Garden Tour is a Sooke Philharmonic event, but tickets are available for purchase in the SAC gift shop during our regular hours.

Overflow parking will be available nearby at the dentist’s office and at WorkLink.

Drop by, pick up your tickets, enjoy the exhibition, and make the gallery part of your Secret Garden Tour weekend.

We're open Wednesday to Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hope to see you this weekend!
