Featured Artists

Sara Chivot - Rooted in her upbringing in Northern Ontario, Sara’s work is inspired by the raw beauty and quiet resilience of the Canadian landscape. Working with a range of materials—acrylic, oil, cold wax, graphite, and pastel — Sara builds layered surfaces that reflect time, erosion, and growth. She begins with a loose concept, but allows the process to guide her work. Through mark-making, sanding, and layering, each piece becomes a dialogue between intention and intuition.

Murray Dineen - is an Ottawa-based artist producing limited edition hand-pulled prints (primarily stone lithography) as well as paintings in oil and acrylics. He has taught printmaking at the Ottawa School of Art. He is an active member of the Ottawa printmaking community, and his work has been shown recently at the Atrium Gallery of the City of Ottawa, at Cafe Earle in Wakefield Quebec, at the Carleton Place Gallery, and at La Fab gallery in Chelsea, Quebec.

We are thrilled to introduce two of the talented artists featured in 2026 WCAS Expressions of Art show, happening Oct 3 and 4th at the Carp Fair Grounds Agricultural Hall, 3790 Carp Road, Carp Ontario.

Brian Bailey is an amazing pastel artist who creates beautiful portraits of highly detailed subjects such as pets, wildlife, landscapes, and people. He has been doing artwork since 2016 using pastels of all sorts (pencils, sticks, pan pastels, and soft pastels). He is a member of West Carleton Artists Association, Arts Carleton Place, Rideau Lakes Artists Association, and the North Frontenac Back Roads Studio Tour. Leane Bailey uses coloured pencils and pastels to create highly detailed drawings of pets, wildlife, and landscape scenes. Some of her favourite subjects are birds and wildlife in Eastern Ontario where she lives. Leane is a member of West Carleton Arts Society, Arts Carleton Place, Rideau Lakes Artists Association, and the North Frontenac Back Roads Studio Tour. Her coloured pencil drawings have been featured in Ann Kullberg's Coloured Pencil Magazines. She has done many commissions.

Pamela Stewart - Pam creates dramatic works with modern materials. Her work's an authentic expression of how she experiences the world; immersed in the senses. Former filmmaker, magazine editor & lifelong creative, when not in studio Pam is ice swimming or wild swimming! A new collection, “Ripple Effect” is inspired by Jane Goodall: "You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference & you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.

Bev Thibault - Invisible. That’s how Bev felt upon resigning her dream job at age 45 so her husband could further his career. These feelings of invisibility, irrelevancy intensified when consuming media that depicted older women as care-giving grannies but not much else.

So Bev decided to create works celebrating women ~ especially with wrinkles or rolls ~ loving their lives.
