Wow. Still decompressing from what was a great weekend despite the weather. So many people to thank, but I don't want this to get long-winded. Of course, Bonnie and Al, the most incredibly gracious hosts a Float Fest could hope for. Heather and George, thanks for helping me organize. All the talent and sponsors (there will be an ad in the paper). And of course, the amazing hardy northerners who braved the waves and cool temperatures to make Float Fest a success. We estimate approximately 450 people attended at least part of the show. Smithers rocks! Enjoy these great photos by Quinn Bender.

What a fantastic day... thanks to Thom Barker for his idea of a Float Fest and to the McCreary's for providing an amazing venue for the bands to perform.... at one point in the festival on a windy, whitecapped day, there were 80 boats that paddled in to take part. Thanks to the kayakers, paddleboaters and others whose presence made the day magical

1. Public Access is via the public beach or St. Anne's Road boat launch.
2. Bring your own everything (except ALCOHOL and DRUGS which DO NOT MIX with activities on the water).
