Well this painting has been a challenge. I started it and it looked like a mess and I took it to our Mont Nebo paint day to just show how awful a painting could look and you should not give up just work at it. Well I have, and this is the result.

This painting went together so quick and easy I could even do it as a sample next Saturday at our paint day. Paintings don’t usually go together this easy and I was just using left over paint. Snow must melt and I must get out side as my gallery will be too full of paintings. Definitely have enough ready for Thickwood studio trail in August.

2 paintings I did on 12x12 linen canvases. Memories of our first trip to Italy together, for our 40th Anniversary. I blocked both out and then worked on the poppy fields for weeks and still not happy with it. Then went to my small shack and completed it that day. Some painting just come together and others you struggle with.
