and entertaining weekend celebration for Norfolk County and surrounding area. With live musical and entertainment acts, arts and crafts shopping, a dynamic KidsZone, the best of local food vendors, a new Norfolk Craft Beverage Zone, and many more fun activities, the Simcoe Heritage Friendship Festival is a great destination for the August Civic Holiday long weekend. We are excited to present one of ‘s hottest bands .on in a fund-raising dance/auction for our 2nd Annual .ca Classic Auto Show THIS Saturday, March 28th at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 79 on West St. in Simcoe, ON.

Silent Auction, Door Prizes and MORE! Only $20 at the door! 7pm start. All proceeds go to hosting this year’s SHFF Classic Auto Show on Sunday August 2!

We interrupt our regular programming to bring you this important announcement:

Dan Johnson has been cycling across Canada since July 1, in honour of his late son Luke, and in support of the - a much-needed facility that will soon be built in Jarvis for all the residents of Haldimand and Norfolk Counties to access in their greatest time of need.

Dan and his family created the campaign and they are making their home-coming return to Port Dover, ON tomorrow, Sun. Aug. 17th! If you are a cyclist who wants to accompany Dan and his family the last 7.5 kms, you can meet at 11:30am at Fork In The Road food truck at the top of the hill in Port Ryerse and cycle with the team to their final destination of Silver Lake Park in Port Dover where the Welcome Home Rally will be held, beginning at 12pm. There will be food trucks and music and you can purchase merchandise, with 100% of the proceeds going to the building of the Hospice.

Dan and his family have a hope that every citizen in Haldimand and Norfolk can donate $50, which will put one brick in the wall of the new hospice! They are well on their way to attaining their goal! Come in Costume, with your decorated ride (bike, stroller, wagon, scooter), meet up in the KidsZone at 2:30 to join our wee Merrymaker Parade, where you will walk through the parks and end up at the Main Stage for 3:15, for costume and ride judging and a chance to win a prize!
