Don’t be fooled… musical theatre isn’t just singing and dancing, there is 📝 WORK📝 involved and these kids are doing all the memorizing, planning and practicing they can with less than 3 weeks before opening night!

Meet Charlotte Denton and her incredible family, founder of Sea Star Productions and Sea Star Academy, performing arts courses and the BEST summer camps!

Behind Charlotte stands a pillar of support and strength in her husband Jackson and their two kids Sunday and Pepper. Charlotte’s passion for the performing arts has taken her and Jackson from Canada, to London, to Australia and back again!

She was the recipient of the gold medal in the solo Musical Theatre category in the British Columbia Performing Arts Festival 5 years in a row, has performed countless shows in both Canada and England, and has had the privilege of teaching at the prestigious National Institute of Performing Arts in Australia.

Her dream is to bring all that she’s learned locally and abroad back to the young community of performers here on Vancouver Island, and to create space for them to feel safe to explore their artistic expression.

The spaces she curates are designed to cultivate skill, and inspire passion and confidence that goes far beyond the stage, and help develop an inherent love and value for the performing arts in every single student.
