Jenny, founder of Art Alchemy School and the Soul Art Alchemy Association, created a welcoming space where everyoneβ€”regardless of experienceβ€”could simply relax, have fun, and enjoy making music together. Eagle Vally Arts Council is proud to present:

Sicamous Fungi Festival People's Choice Fungi & Mushroom Art Competition (Painting/Drawing/Textile)

Registration is open until Wednesday Sept. 16/26 end of business day (5pm)
The winning entry will receive bragging rights and a $50 prize.

The 16 and Under winning entry will receive a $25 prize.

Art should be dropped off upstairs at the Sicamous Legion between 2 and 4 p.m. on Thursday September 17th and picked up at the same location on Sunday September 20th between 4 and 5 p.m.

Please ensure that your name and phone number are on the back of your art.

On behalf of the Eagle Valley Arts Council, we would like to extend our heartfelt thankyou to the Sicamous Legion Branch 99 for it's generous contribution of $2,500 toward the replacement of the heat pump system at the Red Barn Arts Center.

Your generosity helps ensure that the Red Barn remains a comfortable, safe, and welcoming gathering place for our community throughout the year. As a historic community arts facility, the Red Barn Arts Center serves residents of Sicamous and the surrounding area by providing affordable access to arts programming, workshops, exhibitions, cultural events, and community activities for people of all ages.

Support from community organizations like Sicamous Legion Branch 99 plays an important role in preserving this valued heritage building and ensuring it continues to serve as a vibrant hub for creativity, learning, and connection for years to come.

On behalf of the Eagle Valley Arts Council, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) for your "grant in aid" contribution of $2,500 toward the replacement of the heat pump system at the Red Barn Arts Center.

Your support will help ensure that the Red Barn remains a comfortable, safe, and welcoming community gathering place throughout the year. The Arts Center serves residents from across the region and the District of Sicamous by providing affordable access to arts programming, workshops, exhibitions, community events, and cultural activities for people of all ages.

If you missed this workshop at the Red Barn there there is one more happening THIS SATURDAY AUGUST 29TH at the Hullcar Community Hall. Registration and contact information on attached poster.

Wondering what to expect from the Harmonious Heart/Mind Project – Free Community Workshop and Art Project? Expect an afternoon filled with creativity, connection, conversation and inspiration! You may arrive thinking you’re simply going to paint a heart, but you’ll quickly discover that the experience is about so much more. Through guided creative activities, meaningful conversations, storytelling and the opportunity to listen, learn and connect with others, participants are invited to explore the relationship between heart, mind and community. The workshop is a beautiful reminder of the power of art to bring people together, heal, create connection, and remind us that nothing exists in isolation. The workshop is hosted by Bozenka Kipling and Andrea Clarke and team and includes a wonderful lunch, making it a truly welcoming and enriching experience. Come with an open mind, a willingness to create and connect, and leave with your own painted heart, new perspectives, new connectionsβ€”and hopefully a heart that feels a little fuller than when you arrived.
