The 2026 Sherwood Park Highland Gathering may not have ended quite the way we planned, but we are incredibly grateful for the amazing day we shared together on Saturday.

To every guest who came through the gates, every vendor who joined us, every volunteer who gave their time, and every sponsor who helped make this event possible, thank you. An event like this truly takes a community, and we couldn’t do it without each and every one of you.

While Sunday’s weather had other plans for us, it certainly doesn’t take away from the music, competition, culture, laughter and memories made throughout the weekend.

Thank you for continuing to show up and support the Sherwood Park Highland Gathering year after year. We’re so grateful to have you as part of it. 💚

We have been busy this week as we say Slán go dtí an bhliain seo chugainn. For this year we are finishing those last few invoices from our wonderful suppliers, and thanking our incredible sponsors. Today I dropped off some tables that had gone walkabout (momentarily) to our long time supporters at Expedition Rentals who also supply us with those incredible 'workhorse gators' that make all those vendor assistance pick ups and mobility rides for the public possible. Our volunteers love those gators!!!!

As another incredible Sherwood Park Highland Gathering comes to a close, we want to take a moment to recognize the people and businesses who helped make this weekend possible.

What an exciting surprise!!

A very big thank you to Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson - The Mountain for coming out to the Sherwood Park Highland Gathering and participating in the weight over bar event yesterday! The weather was perfect and watching the 56 # weight clear 20'4" with more in the tank was something I know a lot of us will never forget.

Setup is complete, the grounds are ready, and we can't wait to welcome everyone in the morning!

One last update before we call it a night.
Everyone (and their dog 🐶) was excited to help raise our Tartan Pet Rest Tent. This tent was generously donated to us by our long-time supporters, Sage Print & Sign and Pet Valu Baseline.
