“Stop and smell the flowers”
Painted in Gull Lake, SK
I think a lot of us get so locked in on man made things like money, careers, status, image, and just all the noise of life, that we end up anxious, fearful, and feeling disconnected.
But when we come back to the things God made, like flowers, the sky, the wind, birds, fresh air, good food, animals, and the people right in front of us, something shifts. We feel grounded again. Present again. Alive again.
Sometimes I think the soul does not need more noise. It just needs stillness, creation, and a reminder of what actually matters.
“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?”
Matthew 6:25-27
