For nearly six decades, Flagstaff Players has been a community theatre troupe operating out of Sedgewick, Alberta. Traditionally the shows have run in late winter or pre-Christmas. While we are primarily an adult organization, we do sometimes choose projects which involve children of all ages. The mainstay of our performance repertoire has been the dinner theatre. Local caterers are hired to provi
de delicious meals for our guests to enjoy before an evening of dramatic entertainment. We have been known to stage the occasional vaudville production, sort of Carol Burnett meets The Muppet Show. It is our desire to spend our recreation time creating entertaining performances for our fellow small-town citizens to enjoy; something different from running to the city to watch a movie! Some of our past projects:
And Then There Were None, an Agatha Christie whodunnit,
Black Bonspiel of Wullie MacCrimmon by Canadian W.O. Mitchell,
A Wonderful Life, the TV Christmas tradition set on stage,
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens,
Arsenic and Old Lace, a dark comedy about old ladies and murder,
Sherlock Holmes, adapted from Arthur Conan Doyle's famous books,
One Foot in the Grave which made us laugh and cry,
Stuart Little, EB White's classic children's story,
Everybody Loves Opal, a story of an eccentric lady and three crooks,
