Im working on the Reflections and sparkles.

Hi, I hope you're having a great day!

I started this painting 4 days ago and I would not have gotten through this painting this fast, had not I used Artist Studio Pro.

I'm working on the Reflections and the foreground and when I'm done that I'll go ahead and refine the painting a little bit more with some glazing to add some depth.

I just finished filming this tutorial in Grayscale. Painting in grayscale is an excellent way to learn values.

If you're still new to oil painting, I do recommend starting your paintings in gray scale, but make sure you tint your canvas with raw umber first and then paint over in Greyscale.

It adds warmth and cuts some of that coolness, especially if you're using titanium white. I use raw umber, ivory black, and Titanium white.

Add more raw umber than Ivory black to prevent it becoming too cool. Every time you add a lot of white, you're going to need to add a little bit of raw umber to counter the coolness of the white.

What I recommend, before you start painting, is to mix 7 to 8 values from Dark to light. This will make the process so much more organized and easier.

Starting an underpainting in greyscale is like having a map. All the lights and darks have already been established and all you have to do is match your values when you paint over in color.

But be careful going too dark in grayscale. It will make painting over it a lot more challenging. Just make sure you use enough paint to cover the Gray.

Don't be shy when using paint, don't just paint one layer and call it done. It's not done, keep going. You want to paint at least two layers and then the final details.

I added new features! When you click on a color, it will appear just next to the Grid button and it will tell you what value and chroma it is!

I also added a translator, now you can translate the program into any language!
Look at the very bottom next to Sienna, there is a globe, click on it and select your language!

I also added Sienna the AI assistant. Ask her anything about the program, or any question related to Oil Painting, like when is the best time to varnish a painting, or how to prime a canvas or ask a question like~ Please explain 'Fat over Lean' to me. She's the 'S" on the bottom on the right hand side.
