“Flying Home”

Scarborough is both a landing place and a point of departure—a place of home and passage. This mural celebrates the local landscape through iconic landmarks, migrating geese and monarchs, and native plants and pollinators. Community-designed patterns form the wings of birds in flight, echoing stories of movement, belonging, and renewal. How might we care for this shared landscape for generations to come?

As a life long Scarborough local, this piece will always be close to my heart 💖 big thank you to and for making this opportunity possible.

Wooden cutouts are such a beautiful way to bring mural-making directly into community spaces ✨

For the Golden Mile mural project, led four painting workshops where community members helped bring these hand-cut wooden geese to life. Each one features patterns and motifs inspired by stories of movement, belonging, and renewal in Scarborough. 🕊️

Such a joyful community mural project at Downsview Public School 🥹💫 Made possible by .

We started with creative consultation sessions with the classes to incorporate their ideas into the mural design before production. Then, in just four half days, 400+ students helped co-create this mural on boards alongside my wonderful assistant .art 💗

🎶 I’ll be leading a free ukulele workshop from 5:30–7:00pm, followed by a short solo performance from 7:00–7:30pm at 650 Dupont St. Whether you’re a total beginner or just curious, come strum along — we’ll have ukuleles to share!

So I bedazzled my car keys and filmed the process for TikTok. This video has over 5 million views ‼️
